The 2017 Met Gala was held on May 1 in New York City, bringing together several stars and personalities in the same room to wear outrageous outfits inspired by the theme Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between. While many people have been focused on learning about the red carpet beauty looks (we’re still obsessing over Emma Stone’s Met Gala hairstyle), we think there are some valuable health and beauty tips you can learn from these celebrities as well.

From a cocktail made with cucumber water that left my skin feeling extra dewy, to a German brand that used lasers on my face while I danced (don’t worry, you can buy it in New York), there were so many innovative products and services at last night’s event. If you go to a lot of events, it’s important to be able to transition between nightlife activities and workouts at the gym. I like bags that are small enough to carry around with me but big enough to fit my keys, my phone, deodorant, makeup remover wipes, toothbrush and toothpaste (always travel with these!), water bottle (with an ice pack in summer), magazines or e-reader. Another essential is comfortable workout clothes; they should make you feel good about yourself no matter what size you are! My favorite brand for workout clothes is Lululemon; their pieces always make me feel great!
