What is a red carpet event for in New York and London?

A glamorous ball would be hosted by the Metropolitan Museum of Art. For decades, there has been an annual Ball for everyone who has attended it. It takes place every February. A guest list of some of the world’s biggest celebrities (many of them famous names from music, sports, and movies) is compiled by sponsors. At the end of the night, the guests are treated to champagne and their choice of two exclusive designers. The last time we saw the ball was in 2016, when Beyoncé walked the runway with her daughter Blue Ivy, while Kanye West wore his iconic No.1 Adidas sneakers.

Another celebrity appearance at the same gala took place in 2014 when Lady Gaga was seen arriving on stage with her boyfriend Dan + Shay. We’ve had a glimpse back at the “I Can’t Stop You Show” that happened during Paris Fashion Week earlier this year. Not only did she walk the runway with some exciting new designs, but she also made a show stopping entrance as well, with matching oversized pink balloons for her extravagant arrival. And if that wasn’t impressive enough, here’s a sneak peek at Lady Gaga’s latest work! She showed a variety of looks and accessories including a custom leather jacket with gold-inspired stud earrings, a chic hat with silver sparkle, and an enormous neon green skirt. What’s more, she showcased a black puffer coat inspired by one of the most popular Black designer jackets in history. As she walked down the stairs, she danced around in front of the crowd as she did for the Oscars on Sept. 26. Who knows we might have a chance to see all these amazing looks again someday soon?

How much money does each of the stars get?

For 2021, models from various brands will attend the events, giving us a look at how expensive the celebrity guests (and their stylists) can go. On one hand, they have some budget constraints because they can't spend as much as usual on designer labels. But still, many of the stars are quite wealthy and don’t need any special treatment. In fact, some models will even wear clothes from their collections, as long as it doesn't change their style or personality.

These designers are used to thinking very big but never to buying too little. So everything from the look to the shoes, bag, etc, will feel expensive but worth it. Some models might spend up to $10,000 just on clothes and maybe a few thousand on jewelry and makeup. That’s a lot of money to share. It’s not easy to give away their entire collection, which in many cases can end up being worth less than $100,000. Let’s hope that some designers are willing to help us share their creations in hopes of raising awareness about these important issues. How much do we know about the people, companies, and movements sponsoring and supporting Met Gala events?

We know that no matter what brand the model wears, he or she will always be wearing a face made by a renowned face maker. So who will make sure that this year’s audience gets the message and will follow their example? Will we get to see a large number of familiar face models walking the catwalk in their traditional outfits? The answer could be yes, but sadly the main message of the evening won't be clear until after the glitter stops flying.

Just like the first decade of the 21st century, the name of your movement will stand against a backdrop of glitter. This is a pivotal moment since many young faces will try to imitate their favorite star. They will mimic their sultry looks. However, we might get to see different trends. Since there wouldn’t be so much pressure, a person who chooses a cool color from the crowd and is dressed in a white shirt would look like a professional in his or her field. Maybe another person with bold hair and eyes would look more relaxed. Now, it’s hard to predict what the future looks like, but I hope that this upcoming season would give more visibility and more trust to those who are struggling with mental struggles.

How do the stars' families support the model?

Each family member will be making choices where they feel comfortable. Their children might decide to come to the party, but as I mentioned before, the same could be said for most people. If anyone doesn’t like the model as much as the others, then they might want to stay behind but wouldn’t ask for anything beyond what those who will be attending can afford. Of course, that is just my personal opinion. We cannot judge the actions of other participants in the society, who will have other alternatives. To conclude, this year has offered lots of opportunities to raise awareness, but let’s never forget about the needs of the ones who don’t have many resources to support them.
